In an effort to reward today’s automotive service professionals for installing Bendix premium brake products, Honeywell Friction Materials is launching its “Brake Into the Winner’s Circle” promotion and giving technicians a chance to win a VIP trip for two to the 2009 Daytona 500.

For every 10 sets of qualifying Bendix premium brake pads or shoes installed from August 18, 2008 through October 17, 2008, technicians will earn a $20 gift card of their choice to Best Buy, Target, BP Oil, Sunoco, Texaco or Circuit City retailers. They will also be entered for a chance to win the Grand Prize VIP trip for two to the Daytona 500.

Held February 15, 2009, at the Daytona International Speedway, the Daytona 500 is said to be one of the “biggest, richest and most prestigious race events” in the world. It is NASCAR’s signature event and a kick off to the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

The Grand Prize winner of the “Brake Into the Winner’s Circle” promotion will receive roundtrip airfare and accommodations for two at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront hotel as well as luxury roundtrip transportation to/from the races and pit passes that’ll give them a behind-the-scenes experience to Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series races over the weekend. Approximate retail value of the prize is $7,000. The official promotion’s rules as well as details for the VIP trip will be available online at www.bendixbrakes.com starting August 18, day one of the promotion.

Products that qualify for the promotion include Bendix CQ, Bendix CT-3, Bendix TitaniuMetallic II, Bendix SUV and Bendix Fleet Metlok brake pads as well as Bendix premium new and relined brake shoes.

Professional technicians interested in participating in “Brake Into the Winner’s Circle” should contact their Bendix distributor. Distributors that would like to offer the promotion to their shop customers should call their local sales representative.
