Bruce Schuetz of Len’s Auto Repair in Overland, MO, has been named the TECH-NET Professional Auto Service/ASE Master Automotive Technician of the Year for 2008. He was selected for the award after meeting the criteria set by CARQUEST.

Schuetz has been an ASE Master Technician for 30 years and Ford factory trained technician for 20 years. For the past two years he has been employed by Len’s Auto Repair.

“Being a technician is a challenge every day, doing a quality job and being a craftsman at your work is fulfilling,” said Schuetz. “ASE certification gives all technicians the recognition we deserve and the chance to test our knowledge.”

As the winner of the 2008 TECH-NET/ASE Technician of the Year, Schuetz will receive more than $20,000 worth of prizes. He will receive an all-expense paid trip for two to the ASE board meeting where he will be presented with a trophy and gold ring, and will join the membership of the CARQUEST Advisory Council. In addition, he will be honored as the co-Grand Marshal of the 2009 CARQUEST 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Charlotte, NC.
