For the 14th consecutive year, Elgin Industries has been recognized as one of the premier suppliers to JASPER Engines & Transmissions, North America’s largest remanufacturer of gasoline and diesel powertrain and drivetrain components. Elgin manufactures a wide range of valvetrain components for JASPER, including push rods, rocker arms, lifters and valve springs, with a majority of these parts designed and manufactured in Elgin, Ill.

Elgin President Bill Skok and National Marketing and Sales Director Rick Simko accepted JASPER’s “ELMO” trophy as one of the company’s “Partners in Success” during a recent ceremony in Jasper, Ind. Elgin was recognized for excellence in the “Service” category based on several criteria, including supplier scorecard results, “can do” attitude, sense of urgency, timely responses, problem resolution, and technical expertise.

“JASPER, like all world-class organizations, carefully measures every area of supplier performance to ensure exceptional operational efficiency, product quality and customer service. We are very proud to once again rank among their most effective and valued business partners,” Skok said.

In addition to serving JASPER and other leading aftermarket businesses, Elgin Industries is a Tier One supplier of original equipment engine and chassis components to organizations such as Chrysler, Deere & Company, Ford, General Motors, Harley-Davidson, Mack, and Navistar. The company is a leading all-makes/all-models supplier of replacement automotive and heavy-duty parts to distributors throughout the world.

Elgin has earned dozens of quality awards and has received its certificates of registration to the ISO/TS 16949:2009 Quality Management System and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System. It also has achieved Ford Q1 Quality Certification.
