Repair Chain Analytics, Vehicle Service Intelligence Now Offered Through Epicor Vista Aftermarket Solution

Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, recently announced the availability of automotive repair chain analytics and other highly targeted vehicle service market information tools through the Epicor Vista for the Automotive Aftermarket business intelligence solution.

Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail, and services organizations, today announced the availability of automotive repair chain analytics and other highly targeted vehicle service market information tools through the Epicor Vista for the Automotive Aftermarket business intelligence solution.

Epicor Vista for the Automotive Aftermarket enables business owners and managers to make fact-based stocking, service and marketing decisions through the analysis of down-channel transactional data combined with the latest vehicles in operation (VIO) records and other industry analytics. The solution has been expanded to include data warehouse services and corresponding market and vehicle maintenance and repair information for automotive service chains, franchise networks and other repair and maintenance businesses.

“Just as parts manufacturers and distributors are now enhancing their production, inventory and marketing strategies based on the latest Epicor Vista analytics, repair providers can identify and target the fastest growing service opportunities by vehicle application within their market areas,” said Steve Bieszczat, senior vice president, automotive and marketing, retail distribution solutions for Epicor. “This insight can help a service chain or other repair business proactively market specific diagnostic and repair capabilities to the consumers most likely to need them.”

Among the new Epicor Vista tools are “vehicle market baskets” that enable automotive service writers to identify the most common repair and maintenance requirements for specific applications. By identifying which services are consumed most often on a given model, the service writer can potentially avoid unwanted comebacks and help save the customer money by completing all tasks at one time.

“The availability of this information helps the service writer be more consultative in determining which repairs and other jobs are most important,” said Bieszczat. “The more information that is available to the service writer, the more value they can provide to the consumer.”

Epicor Vista for the Automotive Aftermarket also includes a new “Installer Insight” applet that summarizes vehicle repair and parts consumption patterns for the business owner or manager. Designed for use on mobile devices, this data visualization technology provides a quick, accurate overview of the latest service trends to help businesses increase sales volume and customer satisfaction.
