Delphi Product & Service Solutions Adds 73 Reman Diesel Injectors, 16 Reman Injection Pumps For 3.4 Million Vehicles

Delphi Product & Service Solutions (DPSS) has added 73 remanufactured diesel injectors cover more than 2 million light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles from 1985 to 2010, including Chevrolet, Dodge, Audi, Volkswagen, Ford, International and Advance Mixer vehicles. The 16 remanufactured injection pumps cover more than 1.4 million light-duty vehicles from 1989-2005 for Ford, GM and Dodge vehicles.

Over time, diesel injectors can fail due to wear and tear as a result of the harsh environment within the cylinder or even from fuel quality. It’s important to replace diesel injectors with a high-quality replacement part, Delphi says.

During remanufacture, each Delphi diesel injector is completely disassembled, cleaned and examined for wear and breakage. All critical components and worn-out or non-functioning parts are replaced with new parts, and each injector is reassembled and tested to OE standards for compliance in fuel delivery, injection pressure and timing. Delphi says its reman diesel injectors offer a cost-effective alternative to new units without compromising quality.

Delphi also offers rotary injection pumps from the latest technology – common rail – to standard mechanical designs. Delphi completely disassembles the pumps, then cleans, inspects and replaces the worn components. All units are 100 percent functionally tested at the end of the production line, Delphi says.

Belts and Pulley Alignment

A misalignment of the plane of the belt can occur when a pulley is not parallel to the other pulleys on the belt drive system.

Drive Belt Alignment Alignment is key to the health of an engine belt. The belt drive system is designed to create friction between the grooves on the belt and pulley to transfer power from the crankshaft to the alternator, water pump or power steering pump. If the grooves on the belt do not align with the pulleys, the friction won’t be evenly applied and can result in wear and noise.
