Fully Bundled Software Kits Make Updates Simple While Lowering Costs For All OTC Genisys And Pegisys Diagnostic Scan Tools

OTC, a Bosch Automotive Service Solutions brand, recently announced the release of new comprehensive bundled software update kits.

OTC, a Bosch Automotive Service Solutions brand, recently announced the release of new comprehensive bundled software update kits. Genisys features two kit selections with one powerful kit for the Pegisys line of professional scan tools. Genisys kit number 3421-141 provides a System 5.0 Memory card, 2012 USA Domestic / Asian and 2011 European Software; the 3421-145 Software only kit is for technicians that have System 4.0 and newer tools (no new memory card required). Both versions make updating simple, reduce cost and include full coverage for USA Domestic, Asian and European vehicles. For Pegisys, there is one new 3825-55BDL 12-Month Subscription kit that also includes USA Domestic / Asian and European coverage. With the Pegisys Subscription kit you get all the new coverage just released, plus all coverage that will be released for the next 12 months!

"Our customers have wanted this and we have responded. These bundled updates are designed to keep pace with the demands of today’s technician while enhancing the effectiveness of each tool," said Ed Lipscomb, Bosch Automotive Service Solutions senior product manager of diagnostic systems." Lipscomb adds, "Bundling coverage into a single update simplifies the update process while allowing us to lower the cost of the updates to the technician-it’s a ‘win-win’."

The decision to bundle all Domestic, Asian and European software coverage results in a comprehensive, multi-year, update. For example there are now collectively more than 90,000 significant improvements in terms of new systems, actuation and adjustment tests, plus about another three million new experienced-based repair solutions-all in one simple update kit.

Technicians can purchase the new software update kit from their local OTC distributor, or visit www.otctools.com to view a list of distributors on the "where to buy" tab. More information on the update kit, coverage application chart and release notes are available by calling OTC at 1-(800) 533-6137 or at http://genisysotc.com/literature.php.
