2010 Corvette Atlanta Annual Show to be Held Saturday, April 10

The 2010 Corvette Atlanta Annual Show will feature Corvettes ranging from the early 1950s to the newest 2010 models. There will be race-prepared Corvettes, custom Corvettes and daily drivers.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 28, 2010 — The 2009 Corvette Atlanta show was the first annual event, and about 150 vintage and late model Corvettes were on display. The 2010 Event, to be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 10th, will feature Corvettes ranging from the early 1950s to the newest 2010 models.

Mark Frost, general manager of Jim Ellis Chevrolet says “This year’s show is shaping up to be bigger, better, and more fun!”

Once again coordinated by Jim Ellis Chevrolet’s Corvette partner, Corvette Atlanta, this year’s show will have more space available, since it will be held at the all-new, expanded Jim Ellis Chevrolet facility at 5900 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. just inside 285 in Atlanta.

The news on the “Corvette grapevine” is that the Jim Ellis show was the biggest and best attended Corvette show in north Georgia last year. The 2010 show promises to be bigger because Jim Ellis Chevrolet will be awarding $1,000 to the club who brings the most Corvettes! All Corvette clubs are welcome to attend and compete for the prize.

Visit the Corvette Atlanta website to register for the show, or to find more details. Plan to bring the whole family, because there will be a raffle, door prizes, food and music! “We anticipate a larger crowd this year,” says David Morgan, president of Corvette Atlanta. Awards will include best paint, best custom and dealer’s choice.

Proceeds from the show will benefit Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. “Last year we raised $5,000 for a donation to CHOA which was greatly appreciated,” says Morgan. “This year we would like to raise even more money and have a more successful show.”

“We’re anticipating race-prepared corvettes, custom corvettes as well as a host of immaculately clean daily drivers.” Morgan said. “What I really like is when someone brings a real racecar in on a trailer, fires it up, and drives it onto the lot. A good racecar will always draw a crowd!”

“As a 35-year member of Corvette Atlanta, I am still not tired of the excitement that a good car show generates." says Morgan "I still get a thrill when I watch assorted Corvettes both old and new come driving in.”
