Tenneco has announced it will attend the upcoming 2013 VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo show in Kansas City this March, giving attendees the opportunity to experience the Monroe Ride & Drive program and the Walker Emissions Control Diagnostics Workshop.

“Tenneco is committed to providing automotive service professionals with training that immediately impacts their work,” said Chuck Osgood, manager of training and sales operations, North American aftermarket, Tenneco. “We’re certain VISION attendees will walk away from both training programs with new ways to provide value to their customers and additional knowledge that ensures that their customers are driving safe and reliable vehicles.”

The popular Monroe Ride & Drive program gives technicians an opportunity to compare the steering, stopping and stability characteristics of vehicles with worn OE ride control components and new Monroe ride control replacement components. This behind-the-wheel driving experience improves replacement diagnosis and confidence when recommending ride control components to consumers.

Shop owners, service and parts professionals can participate in the Monroe Ride & Drive program at VISION from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, or from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the following Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9. Pre-registration for these events is recommended but not required. Visit www.tenevents.net to register.

The Walker Emissions Control Diagnostics Workshop is a strategic seminar designed to help technicians provide fast and accurate diagnoses related to PO420 codes and other emissions control problems. Following the workshop, attendees will be able to follow a diagnosis strategy for converter codes and emissions failures; isolate causes of converter failure to avoid comebacks; test engine fueling, breathing and other variables that affect converter operation and much more.

The three-hour Walker workshop will be available at VISION at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 9. Pre-registration is required at www.visionkc.com.
