Tech Tip: Delayed Transaxle Engagement at Start-Up on Chrysler Vehicles
If you encounter a vehicle with intermittent delayed transmission engagement at vehicle start-up in excess of three seconds (transaxle may be cold or hot), check the transaxle fluid level while the vehicle is on a level surface and the transaxle is at normal operating temperature using the following procedure detailed in this Tech Tip.

The International Drag Racing Hall of Fame will Induct New Members
The International Drag Racing Hall of Fame will induct 11 new members. The induction ceremony, hosted by the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing and sponsored by Mopar Performance Parts, will be held on March 15 at the Paramount Plaza Resort in Gainesville, FL. This is the 16th year that Mopar has sponsored the ceremony.
Volkswagen Tech Tip: Clutch Pedal Does Not Fully Return/Cruise Control Inoperative
On some VWs, the clutch pedal does not fully return to a stop and the cruise control (if equipped) will not function. The problem may be caused by the clutch pedal over the center spring dropping out of position.
Mazda Tech Tip: Hesitation/Surge or MIL on with DTSC P0102/P0103
The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) may illuminate with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0102 and/or P0103 on any 1998-’99 Mazda B-Series 2.5L. There may be driveability concerns, such as hesitation and/or surge, during acceleration under normal driving conditions. This may be caused by an out-of-specification mass air flow (MAF) sensor.

Isuzu Tech Tip: Curing Rear Brake Squeal/Shudder Experienced While Backing Up
Customers with a 1995.5-’97 Rodeo (UC) equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes may complain of the rear brakes squealing or shuddering as they back up the vehicle. This condition occurs without applying the brakes and may be caused by misadjustment of the parking brake assembly. To repair this condition, inspect the parking brakes in each rear wheel.
