WIX Filters Releases 197 New Parts In First And Second Quarters

WIX Filters, a member of the Affinia Group family of brands, introduced 197 new parts in the first and second quarters of 2013. Of the 197 new parts, 35 percent will serve light-duty applications and 65 percent will serve heavy-duty applications. ProTec cabin air filter applications also made up half of the new parts in the domestic and foreign nameplate-passenger car category.

“At WIX Filters, we are continually adding new products and advancing current products to better serve our customer’s customer,” said Donald Chilton, North American product development manager at WIX. “As we look to the long term, we strive to spearhead innovation and efficiency in our product offerings and meet demands for our industry’s future, from advancing technology to meeting new emission requirements to developing new testing capabilities.”

WIX is also developing test kits for diesel fuel conditioning and cleaning that will be released in August. In addition, WIX is examining modifications for natural gas and propane filters to meet off-road diesel certified emission reduction requirements for 2017-2018.

WIX is on track to launch about 400 new products by the end of 2013.
