Visteon Corporation has introduced a free web-based promotion that encourages automotive aftermarket professionals to compete for a variety of attractive prizes. By predicting the outcomes of the last 10 races of the 2005 NASCAR season, participants can win a grand-prize expenses-paid trip for two to the Richard Petty Driving Experience.

The Visteon “SpecTRACKular Challenge” web game will allow any underhood parts distributor, jobber employee or automotive service professional to predict the top three drivers in each of the final 10 races of the NASCAR season. If one, two or all three of the selected drivers finish in the top three in that week’s race, the player will earn program points. The player earning the most points throughout the 10-race series wins the grand prize. Weekly questions related to Visteon aftermarket products will enable participants to enhance their competitive position by increasing their point totals.

In addition to the Richard Petty Driving Experience package, prizes available through the SpecTRACKular Web game are two tool chests signed by NASCAR team owner Ray Evernham and autographed die-cast cars for weekly winners.

"SpecTRACKular is a fun, free way for aftermarket professionals to test their knowledge of NASCAR’s top teams and drivers while learning more about the latest Visteon OE-quality underhood solutions available for virtually any vehicle," said Mark Boyle, director of marketing, North American aftermarket, for Visteon. "This innovative promotion enables players to become involved in the last 10 races of the NASCAR season as more than just spectators – they can track their points and competitive positions on a 24/7 basis with their free online registration."

Introduced in 2004, NASCAR’s season-ending 10-race championship format pits the top 10 points-earning drivers and any others within 400 points of the leader in a 10-race shootout for the title. The "Chase" began Sept. 18 with the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway and ends Nov. 20 with the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami (FL) Speedway.

To join the Visteon "SpecTRACKular" field of participants, simply log on to www.spectrackularchallenge.com and complete your fast, free registration. E-mail messages will be sent each week to remind participants to make their picks for the next race.
