Top 5 Tools: Mickey Speight, Lebanon Transmissions Inc.

Mickey Speight, Co-owner and President

Lebanon Transmissions Inc.

Lebanon, TN

Along with co-owner/wife Shaun Speight, who Mickey says “is a very important part of our team,” and his crew, Mickey chose the following Top 5 Tools:

Snap-on SOLUS Pro Scanner — It is very important in diagnosing before any repairs are done.

SuperFlow’s Schaffer Shifter Transmission Tester — Helps in diagnosing possible electrical problem or separating the computer from the transmission.

Hot Flush Flushing Machine — Cleans transmission cooler lines and cooler, and also lets us check the flow rate of the fluid. Also gives us the opportunity to show customers what contamination comes out of the transmission cooling system.

Snap-on Tools Transmission Pressure Gauges — Very critical. Pressure is very important in diagnosing and rebuilding transmissions.

Mitchell 1 On Demand — It may not be considered a “tool,” but to me it is. Being able to research and stay in touch with other automotive repair shops and techs is essential. Also it is very nice to log our customers into the customer base system.
