The winners have been chosen and now the fun begins.  Five winning Federated Car Care Center members will visit the St. Louis area in early September to “Get Dirty with Kenny” at the Federated Auto Parts I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO.

“Our ‘Get Dirty with Kenny’ contest always gets high marks from Federated Car Care Center members,” said Phil Moore, senior vice president of Federated Auto Parts. “We want to congratulate this year’s winners and wish them luck when they take the track against one of the greatest dirt track racers of all time, Kenny Schrader.  Kenny always shows our guests a good time, so we know these winners will have a memorable experience and a whole lot of fun.”

Five Federated Car Care Center members were chosen as the winners of the exclusive “Get Dirty with Kenny” Car Care promotion and each will be accompanied on the trip by their respective Federated member:

The annual dirt track driving experience will be held at the Federated Auto Parts I-55 Raceway, the nationally renowned track owned and operated by Schrader. In addition to getting the chance to learn how to race, the contest winners will get a behind the scenes look at the racing business.

Wheel Bearing Shortcuts

When you’re installing a wheel speed sensor on a hub unit, never ever remove it from the original unit. Sponsored by Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper.

Hey, I got a great shortcut for you. If you're working on wheel hubs, if you have one where you're dealing with a harness for the wheel speed sensor that may be behind a fender liner, has all these horrible Christmas trees on it to get in and out from behind areas that you've never seen, well, you can just simply take the old out and then put it in the new and get rid of the new harness. Do not ever use the shortcut. It is a bad thing to do because you are destroying the calibrated air gap that was done at the factory, and this is very precise, done with computers. By removing the wheel speed sensor from one and putting it in another, you've just changed everything completely and you're gonna cause yourself a comeback. Do you wanna know why? Well, it's gonna cause an erratic wheel speed sensor code or issues with the air gap.
