The Autolite Challenge Puts Spark Plugs to the Test for All Vehicle Makes and Models

The Autolite team is ready to put their spark plugs to the test with The Autolite Challenge, a comprehensive new program for 2010 that offers a training and rewards opportunity for technicians.

“By far, this is the biggest promotion we’ve ever launched as a brand,” said Duane Pekar, Director of Marketing, Ignition, for Honeywell Consumer Products Group. “We really want to challenge technicians to use our spark plugs and see for themselves that we are ignition system experts with a line of products that offer OE-quality performance for virtually any vehicle, import or domestic.”

The Autolite Challenge Professional Technician Program
The Autolite Challenge Professional Technician program is an in-depth training opportunity for professional technicians focused on ignition systems. Starting this month, techs will have access to a new monthly online training module created exclusively by Autolite engineers and ignition experts. Each module will cover a topic of professional interest, including six relevant questions. The modules will cover specifics about ignition systems in an in-depth, easy-to-understand format.

Technicians who complete each module will earn a ‘virtual badge’ of recognition and will receive entry into a sweepstakes for a chance to win a one-year lease on a new 2010 Chevrolet Silverado truck. The more modules they complete, the higher their chances of winning. At the end of the training period, the first 3,500 technicians who have completed all six modules will receive a Carhartt jacket and framed certificate of completion. Professional technicians are encouraged to enroll at www.autolitechallenge.com/PRO in March 2010.

The promotion will run from March 1, 2010 – August 31, 2010. The Autolite team has been making premium quality spark plugs since 1936 and the brand has applications for virtually every vehicle make and model on the road today – including coverage for Asian, German and other import vehicles in addition to all domestic makes and models. Autolite provides OE quality performance and advanced technology, along with an industry-leading, comprehensive training program. For more information, log on to www.autolite.com.
