Tenneco Inc., a global supplier of clean air and ride performance products and systems, announced that it is supplying technologies for the 2014 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year, revealed at the recent North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
For the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray the North American Car of the Year Tenneco supplies emission control components, including electrical valves for exhaust system sound tuning. On the North American Truck/Utility of the Year the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Tenneco supplies ride performance technologies including monotube shock modules and rear shocks. The company also provides elastomer products, including its all-new hydroelastic body mount; front suspension bushings; spring bushings and front top mounts.
“We congratulate Chevrolet on receiving these prestigious awards,” said Gregg Sherrill, Tenneco chairman and CEO. “Tenneco is very proud to contribute to the success of our global customers like GM by providing innovative clean air and ride performance solutions. We’re committed to helping them develop exciting new vehicles that are clean, fuel-efficient and fun to drive.”
