The MAHLE Service Solutions TechPRO diagnostic scan tool is now available exclusively through NAPA Auto Parts.
TechPRO can decode a vehicle identification number (VIN) in seconds with one click. A scan of vehicle wide diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) on all modules takes 30 seconds or less with the Bluetooth-enabled vehicle communication interface (VCI), according to the company.
The TechPRO diagnostic scan tool was engineered so technicians have a faster and easier way to diagnose and repair a vehicle by using their current Windows 7-, 8- or 10-based tablet, laptop or desktop computer, making it unnecessary to buy or lease extra hardware. All necessary information, including an instructional video and comprehensive user guide, is just a click away. Technicians simply connect via Bluetooth or USB cable (included) and go, according to MAHLE.
Real-time data streaming with TechPRO provides better speed and accuracy. All vehicle data and software updates are downloaded automatically from the Internet. To make a technician’s job easier, history is collected on a number of things, including VIN, vehicle codes, errors and users. In addition, TechPRO provides instant pass-thru to repair data on Identifix, Mitchell 1 and iATN.
A subscription to TechPRO includes the VCI and software, and NAPA is offering an exclusive two-year software subscription (normally one-year) with each TechPRO automotive diagnostic system purchased for a price of $1,599. Initial software is domestic 2007-’14 with monthly updates and vehicle lines, dating back to 2003. Continual monthly software updates will be made to add 2003-’14 Asian software and OBD2 generic 96 to present.
For $1,999, NAPA offers the same subscription package with an 8-inch Windows tablet included. The same package with a 10-inch tablet also is available for $2,229.
MAHLE Service Solutions is making TechPRO available exclusively through NAPA until the end of June 2016.
