If you encounter a vehicle with a Check Engine Light (CEL) on, and P0122 is stored in memory with symptoms of erroneous idling and poor driving performance (engine hesitation, transmission shift shock), check the throttle position sensor and wiring harness according to the diagnostics found in the applicable Subaru service manual. If the throttle position sensor is the only item found to be faulty, replace it with the newly designed part, 22633AA240.
If P0122 is not stored in memory, but the vehicle has symptoms of erroneous idling and poor driving performance (engine hesitation, transmission shift shock), refer to the flow chart at right.
Applicability:
2001-’04 Legacy and Outback models equipped with H-6 3.0L engines.
