If you experience a vehicle with excessive A/C system pressures, rule out these quick and easy checks before making any component replacements.

Verify that there are no obstructions to air flow through the condenser and/or radiator, and look in between them for debris, which may be easily overlooked.

In addition, make sure to confirm that both the main and sub-fans are rotating in the proper direction and pulling air through the condenser and radiator toward the engine. If there were previous repairs that required removal of the fans, the wiring in the connectors may have become swapped during re-assembly, especially if the fan motor harness connectors didn’t come apart easily. There have been cases where this simple check was overlooked, resulting in unnecessary repairs.
