Standard Motor Products Announces TechSmart ‘Show Us Your Shop’ Contest

To enter, contestants must take a photo of their shop, post it to Instagram and add the hashtag #ShowMyShop.

Standard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) has announced the start of its TechSmart “Show Us Your Shop” contest. Running until Oct. 31, the contest gives automotive technicians and DIYers the chance to win $100 and have their shops shown across the country.

To enter, contestants must take a photo of their shop, post it to Instagram and add the hashtag #ShowMyShop. TechSmart will judge the photos based on creativity and composition. The top 25 photos will win $100 each. The winning contestant’s photo also will be placed on the cover of a future TechSmart Parts Guide. TechSmart distributes its Parts Guides to shops across the country. The average circulation is 250,000. In addition, the first 100 people to share their photo will receive a TechSmart decal.

Phil Hutchens, vice president engine management marketing, SMP, commented on the contest, saying, “SMP has always been proud to provide professional technicians and DIYers with problem-solving TechSmart parts. Now, with our latest contest, we’re excited to give them a chance to share the outstanding work they do each day with the Instagram community.”
