Customers have spoken and they love Snap-on Equipment’s new John Bean RFV 2000 Automated Diagnostic Wheel Balancer. This one-of-a-kind machine redefines the way tires are balanced and provides immediate improvement in productivity and performance.

“When customers saw the new RFV 2000 in action at the recent SEMA show, they could not wait to get one for their shop; that’s how impressed they were with this innovative wheel balancer,” said Jon LaRue, director of product management for Snap-on Equipment. “The award-winning RFV 2000 uses an industry‐first method of obtaining the complete profile of the tire and wheel in one spin cycle and patented optical imaging predicts if tire and wheel harmonics will interact with suspension harmonics to create vehicle vibrations. This all-new measuring process provides error‐proofing for the ride control service.”

The John Bean RFV 2000 incorporates “stripe‐of‐light” technology that provides advanced measuring processes to eliminate the need for mechanical measuring devices used in other wheel balancing systems. With three-dimensional data obtained from optical cameras, the RFV 2000 provides a three-dimensional scaled color display of the tread, sidewall and wheel along with a graphical representation of data to allow pinpoint location of localized runout.

Other features of the new John Bean RFV 2000 Automated Diagnostic Wheel Balancer include:

• Performs fast balances and complete diagnosis of the wheel;
• Identifies tread depth and drivability issues; only diagnostic balancer on the market that automatically identifies wheel surface issues such as bulges, flat spots and cuts;
• Match-mounts out of round tires and wheels, utilizing run out and calculated radial force variation; and
• Easy to use; only diagnostic balancer on the market that diagnoses a wheel in a fully automatic mode.
