SMP To Award $10,000 To Two Students Through Intermotor Scholarship Contest

Import-Leader-Automotive-Scholarship-Feature-300x154Standard Motor Products (SMP) has established the Intermotor Import Leader Automotive Scholarship Contest, which will present two students with a $5,000 scholarship each. The contest runs through July 31.

To enter, students are asked to visit IntermotorImport.com/Scholarship, complete an online questionnaire and submit a current photo of themselves. Entries will be evaluated based on relevance, creativity and thoughtfulness relating to the automotive import industry. Winners will be selected on Aug. 31.

“At SMP, we are dedicated to investing in the future of our industry,” said Phil Hutchens, vice president engine management marketing, SMP. “Our Intermotor Import Leader Automotive Scholarship is an exciting opportunity to recognize and support student technicians who share Intermotor’s quest for import excellence.”

The contest is open to legal residents of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Eligible entrants must be between the ages of 18 and 34 and currently enrolled full-time in high school or in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or post-high school educational program. They also must have a current cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Complete rules and contest information can be found at the scholarship website.
