ShowMeTheParts.com Now Features License Plate Lookup – UnderhoodService

ShowMeTheParts.com Now Features License Plate Lookup

ShowmeVertical Development has added a license plate lookup feature to ShowMeTheParts.com as a result of customer requests. This critical component allows ShowMeTheParts to filter out parts that should not be made available for vehicles in a query.

For example, vehicles with the same Year/Make/Model could be available in 2WD or 4WD and require different part numbers for each drive type. A license plate search identifies the exact specifications of the vehicle and removes the parts that don’t match.

How it works

Visitors to ShowMeTheParts.com select the license plate tab, and then enter a valid license plate number and state. The screen will update with product selections based on the data entered. Users can then select the product they are searching for from the dropdown list.

Parts companies can add their brands and product lines to the ShowMeTheParts.com database, where end-users will have instant access to find them via the new license plate lookup feature. In addition, companies using ShowMeTheParts to power their own online catalogs or mobile apps can now take advantage of this new feature.
