Troy Ladd and his team of builders at Hollywood Hot Rods were pleasantly surprised recently when the shop was acknowledged for its work on the Raybestos 1932 Roadster Pickup, receiving a 1st  Place award at the prestigious Kragen O’Reilly Grand National Roadster Show (GNRS) in Pomona, CA.

A giveaway truck as part of a Raybestos Brakes 2010 national sales promotion, the Raybestos ’32 Roadster Pickup earned its 1st Place honors in the Altered Roadster Pickup category. The truck was among 500 featured show vehicles on display at the Fairplex in Pomona, from some of the best hot rod & custom car builders in the world, competing for the coveted GNRS awards.

"It’s an absolute honor, and a well-deserved accolade for the amazing work Hollywood Hot Rods is doing — on our Raybestos ’32 RPU, and on all of their other recent builds as well," said Josh Russell, director of sales & marketing for Affinia Group’s Raybestos brand Brakes.

Now in its 62nd year, the GNRS is the longest running indoor car show in the world.  Each year, the Grand Daddy of Them All! showcases the world’s most beautiful hot rods, customs, street machines, trucks and motorcycles.
