The Daytona winner, the #02 Target/Chip Ganassi Racing Lexus Riley Daytona Prototype, was equipped with Performance Friction’s ZR27 and ZR22 monobloc calipers, Direct Drive discs and Carbon Metallic brake pads for the twice around the clock race at Daytona International Speedway. In addition to the overall Daytona winner, the second place #60 Flight Options/Michael Shank Racing entry was equipped with ZR22 monobloc calipers, Direct Drive discs and Carbon Metallic pads, and the fourth place #58 RedBull/Brumos Porsche entry was equipped with Direct Drive discs. Cars equipped with Performance Friction Brakes lead 70 percent of the entire race distance.

Performance Friction has released a new four-pad monobloc caliper that they call the ZR26. "The bite, torque, release, and most of all driver control of our new ZR26 caliper package is superior to any other brake system on the market for DP teams. We expect to have the majority of the field on this package before the end of the race season," said Darrick Dong – Performance Friction director of motorsports.
