Pennzoil has announced the start of the "Join the Pursuit" sweepstakes, which provides consumers the opportunity to win a Penske Racing-inspired 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, in addition to more than 150 other prizes.

The special edition 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 is the first of its kind and has been modified and enhanced with numerous performance upgrades from Chrysler Group’s Street and Racing Technology (SRT) Group. The Penske Racing-inspired Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 will have more than 470 horsepower and will have Pennzoil Ultra in its engine.

"The Penske Racing-inspired 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 collaboration is an exciting innovation that allows Penske Racing to instill its top priority – ultimate performance – in a street vehicle," said Roger Penske. "Through the Pennzoil ‘Join the Pursuit’ sweepstakes, Pennzoil has provided the opportunity for one lucky consumer to win a very special street car."

Pennzoil engineers work closely with Penske Racing to develop motor oil formulations to help maximize performance and engine reliability for the team throughout the season, with each change contributing to the advancement of the brand’s technology.

The Pennzoil sponsorship not only provides strong brand recognition with a leading racing team, but it also provides the brand with a true testing ground for Pennzoil motor oils under some of the harshest racing conditions, the company says.

"At Pennzoil, we leverage our motorsports sponsorships to constantly test new formulations to help create a technological advantage and bring that knowledge from the track to the road," said Bree Sandlin, Pennzoil brand manager. "We are extremely excited to have collaborated with Penske Racing and Dodge to create such a unique street car with such a NASCAR feel."

The "Join the Pursuit" sweepstakes kicked off Sept. 1 and runs through Oct. 31, culminating with one lucky entrant driving away the Dodge Challenger grand prize, along with other available prizes including Shell Gift Cards and Pennzoil/Penske Racing merchandise.

It only means that the alternator is not charging, but does not reveal why. Therefore, it does not point to a faulty alternator. All too often, the alternator is condemned by technicians due to this test alone. The cause could instead be a module that distributes the power to the vehicle and regulates the alternator.
