Parts Plus has partnered with NASCAR Angels, the new reality TV show developed by NASCAR, to help deserving motorists safely get back on the road and to further enhance the image of the independent installer with consumers, according to Mike Lambert, president of the Automotive Distribution Network.
“We hope to portray the independent service dealer in a more positive light, reinforcing the public’s faith in the skills and capabilities of local technicians like those found at Parts Plus Car Care Centers nationwide,” Lambert said. “Through our involvement with NASCAR Angels, we also plan to educate consumers about the need for regular vehicle maintenance, while attracting young people who may be interested in a career in automotive repair.”
Hosted by Rusty Wallace, a former NASCAR Cup Champion and current ABC/ESPN TV broadcaster, and Shannon Wiseman, a NASCAR.com reporter, NASCAR Angels hits the road each week with a different NASCAR driver and their “pit crew” from local shops. Together, they help deserving families and communities with their vehicle-maintenance needs. In only its first season, nearly 20-million viewers have seen NASCAR Angels on more than 200 stations across the United States.
Parts Plus Car Care Centers will be a sponsor of NASCAR Angels when the show visits Los Angeles and Phoenix. These Car Care Centers will be featured on the show as the host repair location in four episodes to be shot in those cities, with select Parts Plus technicians performing repairs.
