Newly Expanded Schrader Manufacturing Facility To Bring More Jobs to the Springfield, Tenn., Area

Schrader, a leading global manufacturer of sensing and valve solutions, will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 1 to celebrate the opening of its newly expanded manufacturing facility in Springfield, Tenn.

Schrader, a leading global manufacturer of sensing and valve solutions, will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 1 to celebrate the opening of its newly expanded manufacturing facility in Springfield, Tenn.

This upgraded facility is a result of a $10 million capacity investment the company has made in the Springfield area. With this investment, Schrader has created 76 new manufacturing jobs this year and will expand approximately 100 additional positions in the coming year.

The event will be attended by and/or staff of Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Rep. Diane Black (R-TN-6), Allen Borden, assistant commissioner, Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, along with Hugh Charvat, president and CEO of Schrader and members of the company’s management team.

The newly installed manufacturing line is a direct result of continued Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) volume growth amongst all domestic vehicle manufacturers, Schrader says, as well as an increased service and repair demand for replacement sensors in the automotive aftermarket.

Schrader states that it is currently the only U.S.-based manufacturer of complete TPMS systems for the automotive industry, and the increased capacity in Springfield will continue to serve the fast-paced North American OEM and aftermarket segments.
