Affinia Under Vehicle Group salutes 22 lucky winners who recently took part in the NAPA BRAKE and CHASSIS “Ride with Mikey” experience in Charlotte, NC. These winners beat out 1,700 customers who turned in entries they earned January through June for purchasing NAPA BRAKE and CHASSIS products.

The grand prize gave winning NAPA BRAKE and CHASSIS customers and their servicing NAPA AUTO PARTS Store representatives the opportunity to fly to Charlotte all expenses paid and stay right next to Lowe’s Motor Speedway for a once in a lifetime trip.

Trip highlights included a visit to Raceworld USA – Michael Waltrip’s 140,000 square foot race shop and home to the NAPA #55, the UPS #44 and the Domino’s/Burger King #00 cars.

In the fabrication shop, winners saw how metal is cut and bent to make the frame and body of the #55 NAPA car. In addition, the #55 NAPA pit crew showed everyone what it’s like to “go over the wall” and invited several members of the group to try their hand at servicing a car in the pits. In only 14 seconds, the car was jacked up and the tires were changed.

Later that first day, everyone headed into Michael Waltrip Racing’s main garage for a catered dinner right next to all of the #55 NAPA cars. Michael spoke to the group about his performance this year and how much he appreciates NAPA’s support. After dinner Michael posed for photos and signed autographs with the winners in front of the #55 NAPA Car of Tomorrow.

The next morning the group headed to Lowe’s Motor Speedway to fulfill their need for speed. Everyone got a chance to ride in a real NASCAR vehicle at speeds of more than 160 mph, driven by the likes of Michael, David Reutimann and Ken Butler III. An in-car camera captured the experience, and a DVD was sent to each winner so they can remember their time on the track. After lunch at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway media center a group photo was taken in Victory Lane with the NAPA #55 Toyota Camry.

NAPA BRAKE and CHASSIS is a leading supplier of brake parts and chassis system components supplying the automotive Aftermarket. The brand is available at more than 6,000 NAPA AUTO PARTS Stores nationwide.
