Monroe, one of North America’s leading brands of shocks, struts and related automotive components, will bring back its popular Monroe spring promotion April 1, 2008, giving motorists an extra incentive to replace ride control components.

Monroe recommends a safety check on safety-critical components, such as shocks and struts, at 50,000 miles, a replacement guideline established through The Motorist Assurance Program. The “50,000-mile” initiative was put into place to help technicians and motorists accurately diagnose the presence of worn ride control components to improve vehicle ride and handling and protect component integrity.

Sponsored by Monroe shocks and struts and Rancho suspension systems, brands of Tenneco Inc., the spring promotion rewards motorists for purchasing four qualifying shocks and/or struts by offering mail-in rebate dollars for the fourth unit.

The Monroe spring promotion, running from April 1 to May 31, 2008, gives motorists who purchase four qualifying Monroe Reflex or Sensa-Trac shocks and struts and Gas-Magnum shocks for the same vehicle, a mail-in rebate equal to the value of the fourth unit for that vehicle. The promotion also is available for several Rancho products, including RS9000XL, RS9000XL Pro Series, QuickLIFT, RSX and RS5000 shock absorbers.

For Monroe mail-in promotion forms or for more information, visit www.monroe.com or write to Monroe Marketing, One International Dr., Monroe, MI 48161.

Monroe shocks and struts, backed by Tenneco’s “Safe and Sound Guarantee,” allow consumers to try qualifying Monroe products for up to 90 days. If they are not satisfied, consumers can return the qualifying products for full refund of the product’s purchase price. (Plus labor expenses of up to $50 per axle. Restrictions apply. See www.monroe.com for qualifying products and guarantee details.)

Rancho shocks are backed by the “Rancho Ride Guarantee,” a 90-day offer on RS9000XL shocks. The Ride Guarantee allows consumers to try RS9000XL shocks for up to 90 days, and, if dissatisfied, return the units for full refund of the product’s purchase price. (See www.GoRancho.com for details and restrictions.)
