A new line of Moog chassis parts, now used by nearly every NASCAR NEXTEL Cup racing team, was selected as the best new performance-enhancing product at the 2005 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas. Moog chassis parts are manufactured and marketed by Federal-Mogul Corporation.

Engineered specifically to address the demands of NASCAR competition and other high-performance applications, new Moog Performance chassis components feature a polished full-ball stud, CNC-machined housing and threaded and pin-locked cover plate for exceptionally smooth, consistent stud articulation and superior durability. Moog Performance parts will be available for a broad range of street applications in 2006.

The 2005 AAPEX New Products Showcase competition attracted hundreds of entries in nine technology categories reflecting the theme "We Keep Them on the Road." Moog Performance chassis parts earned the first-place award in the "Smooth Sailing" category, for products that enhance the driving experience by improving vehicle performance. Judges included members of the consumer and trade media.

"The New Products Showcase panel responded to Moog Performance chassis parts with the same level of enthusiasm as NASCAR NEXTEL Cup teams, who overwhelmingly prefer this new technology," said Moog Marketing Manager Michael Kraft. "Moog continues to build on its heritage of delivering track-tested products that help customers achieve superior performance and durability under even the most challenging operating conditions."

Moog chassis parts have been the dominant choice of NASCAR teams in each of the past five decades. In fact, every NASCAR Cup champion since 1966 has driven to victory using Moog ball joints.
