Tenneco Inc. has introduced a new set of trade incentives to its popular consumer Monroe brakes “Fuel Stop” promotion. The new “Fuel Stop Rewards!” installer promotion and “Fuel Stop Benefits!” jobber/warehouse distributor promotion are available now through Nov. 30, 2008. The Fuel Stop promotion program is valid on any purchase of qualifying Monroe Ceramics and Monroe Dynamics brake pads.

“This is an exciting twist on what is one of the most successful Monroe brakes consumer promotions,” said Sheryl Bomia, North American programs manager, Tenneco. “Our Fuel Stop promotion has given every step of the selling channel an attractive incentive for choosing premium Monroe brake products.”

The Fuel Stop Rewards! program gives installers the opportunity to earn up to a $75 Monroe brakes debit card for the purchase of qualifying Monroe brakes products. After purchasing 36 sets of Monroe Ceramics or Monroe Dynamics brake pads, the installer is eligible to earn a $75 Monroe brakes debit card. Through the purchase of 24 sets of Monroe brake pads, the installer can earn a $50 Monroe brakes debit card. If the installer purchases 12 sets, he or she is eligible to earn a $25 Monroe brakes debit card. The Fuel Stop Benefits! program gives warehouse distributors and jobbers the opportunity to earn a valuable $50 Monroe brakes debit card after selling 50 sets of qualifying Monroe brake pads.

The total solution for millions of passenger cars, vans, light trucks and sport utility vehicles, Monroe Ceramics and Monroe Dynamics brake pads feature application-specific original equipment-style friction formulations engineered to provide exceptional stopping performance, quiet operation and long life. Monroe brake pads come complete with everything needed for the repair, including noise elimination clips, hardware and wire wear sensors (on most applications). Each Monroe pad also features OE-style slots and chamfers or problem-solving aftermarket-engineered chamfers for excellent noise reduction.

Monroe Ceramics brake pads feature genuine ceramic formulations that promote cooler, cleaner and quieter stops. Monroe Dynamics semi-metallic brake pads for most applications are manufactured through a precisely controlled molding process that reduces resin content for more powerful, consistent and long-lasting brake performance. OE manufactures prefer this “positive molding technology” because it leads to outstanding stopping performance.

The Monroe brakes product line covers approximately 80 percent of all U.S. passenger vehicles and 89 percent of passenger vehicles five years old and newer.
