In early 2005, Mitchell 1 and CARQUEST joined forces to create a marketing partnership as part of Mitchell 1’s ongoing effort to expand its network of connectivity to automotive parts suppliers. In less than 12 months, Mitchell 1, in partnership with CARQUEST, has recorded the 1,000th sale of the Mitchell 1 OnDemand5 Manager/Manager Plus to the international network of CARQUEST customers.

“We are thrilled that CARQUEST has embraced this strategic partnership and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship for many years to come,” said Dan Kelley, director of strategic partnerships for Mitchell 1.

“Our goal in partnering with Mitchell 1 was to give our customers greater flexibility and increased efficiencies by creating a fully integrated solution when using Mitchell 1’s OnDemand5 Manager shop management system,” said John Christie, vice president of CARQUEST eServices marketing division. “This union of Mitchell 1 and CARQUEST creates a true partnership in which Mitchell 1 customers gain electronic access to CARQUEST’s full line of aftermarket parts, supplies, equipment and accessories, while using the premier diagnostic and management tools supplied by Mitchell 1.”

Mitchell 1 and CARQUEST customers benefit from a streamlined Internet based parts ordering system, FastLink and WebLink, which significantly reduces the estimating and invoicing time requirement. It also helps eliminate the communication issues that can cause the ordering/receipt of incorrect parts, eases related shop technician inefficiencies and ensures that the desired profitability has been obtained on each job before it is quoted.
