NAPA AUTO PARTS, the Official Auto Parts Store of the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, presented Minneapolis resident Kerra Sass a NAPA Trick Truck award at the 20th Hot Rod Nationals this weekend in Indianapolis for her 1948 Chevy truck.

It took only four months for Sass and her fiance to rebuild the truck from the bare metal, starting in February and finishing two days prior to the event this past weekend. The truck is equipped with a Corvette engine, 15-inch speakers and a completely custom pink and white interior.

The exterior is decked out with 20-inch rims and is painted "Draggin’ Pink," a unique name created by Sass due to the truck’s ability to drag on the ground and the custom pink color. The couple is considering using the truck as their transportation of choice for their post-wedding festivities.

Sass says the truck is worth around $41,000 after a recent appraisal.

Sass earned a $100 NAPA gift certificate for tools from the on-site NAPA Tool & Equipment tent. In addition to the $100 NAPA gift certificate, she also received a NAPA hat, t-shirt and grease towel.

NAPA is presenting Trick Truck awards at all 24 Goodguys events with a projected annual attendance of 1.7 million.
