Gary Glass, owner of a Meineke Car Care Center in Brooklyn, NY, recently customized his 2003 Ford Mustang utilizing eight ANSA Automotive Silverline stainless steel Angle Rolled Single Tips. “Everybody has dual exhaust,” explained Glass, “but I wanted to do something different.”

To accomplish this, Glass custom-designed an exhaust pipe, contoured to the shape of his rear bumper, so it would be easier to consistently install each tip. He then placed a hanger on each end for support, and cut holes evenly with the rear dimension of the bumper in mind. “I made the hole to the extreme left smaller for a more even distribution of exhaust,” said Glass. With an outlet diameter of 3-1/2” and an overall length of 8-1/2”, Glass installed each tip by spot welding it into place.

When Glass set out to complete the project, he looked at several manufacturers before settling on the Silverline tips. “Nobody else had had what I wanted,” said Glass. “Those rolled edges were perfect for what I wanted to accomplish.” Now when he rolls up to an intersection Glass says he can see people counting the number of tips. “It’s quite a conversation piece, and since I have ‘Meineke’ on my license plates, it’s great advertising for my business.”
