Matco Tools Seeks Product Innovation Through New ‘Made By Idea’ Contest

Now through March 31, 2012, every new product idea or improvement submitted to Matco will be entered to win an Apple iPad 2 16GB with Wi-Fi. Plus, if a new product is brought to market, Matco will award 2% of the first year's sales to the participant, at a minimum of $2,500.

Got a new product idea? Matco Tools is searching for the next product innovation in professional automotive tools through its new “Made By Idea” contest. 

“Matco is known for providing innovative tools and equipment that simplify automotive repair and increase productivity. Matco means innovation that can be put to work every day by technicians and enthusiasts,” said John Green, vice president of marketing at Matco. “We are looking for the next great tool or equipment solution through our ‘Made By Idea’ contest.”

“We recognize that the best source for product improvement ideas are the people that use these tools every day,” said Green. “The “Made By Idea” contest is a way to get the word out, leveraging our customer base to solve problems and improve our product offering.”
