Matco Tools Announces Second Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Matco Tools will be running its second annual Tools for the Cause campaign after a successful first year. Tools for the Cause is a year-long program where Matco offers special-edition pink products and donates 15% of the sales to Susan G. Komen. The second annual campaign will start on Oct. 1, 2013, and run through Sept. 2014. Antron Brown, Matco's top fuel pilot, and his crew, will also show support by unveiling a newly designed pink Matco race car and fire suit during the October races.

Matco Tools, a mobile tool franchise company, announced it will be running its second annual Tools for the Cause campaign after a successful first year. Tools for the Cause is a year-long program where Matco offers special edition pink products and donates 15% of the sales to Susan G. Komen. The company surpassed its $100,000 fundraising goal for 2012 and raised 1.5 times more than expected. To date, the tool company has donated more than $250,000 to help find a cure.

“After the overwhelmingly positive response to last year’s campaign and the demand for more products, we are looking forward to kicking off the second year and introducing additional special edition tools,” said Tim Gilmore, president of Matco Tools. “Breast cancer is a topic that hits home for many of our franchisees and employees, and we welcome the opportunity to raise awareness and funds that help support finding a cure.”

The second annual Tools for the Cause campaign will start on Oct. 1, 2013, and run through Sept. 2014. During that time, Matco will sell its special edition pink products through its distributors and online. Antron Brown, Matco’s top fuel pilot, and his crew, will also show support by unveiling a newly designed pink Matco race car and fire suit during the October races.

Matco will continue to sell its current special edition pink products through Sept. 30, 2013. Starting in October, the company will make available the following pink products for the new Tools for the Cause campaign:
