MAHLE Aftermarket Inc. Unveils New Look For MAHLE Original Gasket Product Line

MAHLE says its new Original gasket packaging makes it easy for the purchaser to see exactly what they are buying, allowing the customer to see the contents without opening the package.

MAHLE Aftermarket Inc. has announced that its gasket product line will be getting a new look. The gasket products will now be packaged with the distinctive blue MAHLE Original logo prominently displayed.

MAHLE - Original PackagingOn June 30, MAHLE Aftermarket Inc. announced the new MAHLE Original brand name. These will be the same products the company has sold in North America since 2007 under the Victor Reinz brand, licensed to MAHLE Aftermarket. The company says the MAHLE Original gasket line will continue to offer the best coverage in the aftermarket across domestic, Asian, European and heavy-duty applications. The MAHLE Original gasket offering includes nearly 10,000 part numbers, covering 900,000 applications with more than 1,000 exclusive part numbers not available from any other aftermarket supplier.

MAHLE says its new Original gasket packaging makes it easy for the purchaser to see exactly what they are buying, allowing the customer to see the contents without opening the package. This helps avoid purchasing the wrong parts and helps to reduce returns of opened boxes to the store, according to the company.

“Branding our gaskets as MAHLE Original better communicates the MAHLE commitment to OE form, fit and function,” said Jon Douglas, general manager, MAHLE Aftermarket North America. “Although the brand and packaging will change, what isn’t changing is the delivery service, industry-leading fill rates, complete market coverage, product support, data management and technical expertise driven by decades of gasket development that the industry has come to expect from the MAHLE Aftermarket gasket line. No other aftermarket gasket supplier even comes close.“

MAHLE Aftermarket further supports sales of the MAHLE Original gasket line with comprehensive aftermarket marketing support. MAHLE offers a complete range of product flyers, technical service bulletins and print advertising. An eLearning online training module will be available for technician education.

The transition to the new packaging will begin in the second half of 2016, and will be completed by March 2017.
