“Meet me @ MACS, Make Connections that Matter” was the theme of the MACS 35th Annual Training Event and Trade Show, held Feb. 5-7 at the Caribe Royale Hotel and Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Nearly 1,000 attendees from across the globe gathered at the event to learn, network and conduct business in the $12 billion mobile A/C and engine cooling industry.
“The MACS board and staff were very happy with the positive vibe of this event as we saw increased member and vendor participation. We are extremely grateful to our sponsors and presenters who sustain us and make this important independent gathering of our industry possible,” said Elvis Hoffpauir, MACS president and chief operating officer, who also celebrated his 35th year with the association.
The MACS Training Event was sponsored by 40 companies, and the trade show had 80 exhibitors and 92 booths. There were 25 speakers and presentations and many prize winners at the trade show, including Diane Larson of Larson’s Service in Peabody, Mass., who took home a brand-new Robinair 34788NI recovery machine.
SAE International’s Interior Climate Control Standards Committee and the Car Care Council Women’s Board also held adjacent meetings during the event.
