Kumho Again Supports Teen Driving Program

The Key to Safe Teen Driving program provides real-world experience to improve teen driving skills, and raise awareness about the importance of proper training for young drivers. The program will be open to 120 students at each of 14 locations across five states. In addition to classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel sessions will practice wet braking, emergency lane changing, proper tire care and how to safely change a flat tire and much more.

Kumho Tire USA has partnered with KeyBank and the Mid-Ohio School to offer a free behind-the-wheel teen driving program.

The Key to Safe Teen Driving program provides real-world experience to improve teen driving skills, and raise awareness about the importance of proper training for young drivers.

The program will be open to 120 students at each of 14 locations across five states.

In addition to classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel sessions will practice wet braking, emergency lane changing, proper tire care and how to safely change a flat tire and much more.

"Kumho is pleased to team up with its partners KeyBank and the Mid-Ohio School again this year to take the Key to Safe Teen Driving program to teens when they perhaps need it most,” said Rick Brennan, Kumho vice president of marketing.

“As a tire company, we are happy are to give back to our communities. With graduation, parties, road trips with friends and more all in the works for hundreds of thousands of young drivers, our hope is the participants come away with at least one new skill that will potentially save their lives while out on the road.”

Key to Safe Teen Driving events will be held in Canton, Akron, Cleveland, Toledo, Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio; Ann Arbor, Mich.; Indianapolis and South Bend, Ind.; Rochester and Buffalo, N.Y.; and Appleton and Eau Claire, Wis.
