Jimmie Johnson Victory In Texas Earns Eighth Bosch Aftermarket NA Donation Of Season For Hendrick Marrow Program

BoschWith a late race pass, Jimmie Johnson lead the final four laps to get his Bosch-equipped No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet to victory lane at Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in Texas. To mark the win, Bosch Aftermarket North America is making a $1,000 contribution to the Hendrick Marrow Program for a total of $8,000 donated to that charity to-date this season. So far in 2015, Bosch-supported teams have earned a total of $29,000 for their chosen charitable organizations.

The Hendrick Marrow Program’s mission is to raise money to help cover uninsured costs of transplants through the Hendrick Family Fund for patient assistance, while growing the Be The Match Registry of volunteer donors.  Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports, established the Hendrick Marrow Program of the Be The Match Foundation, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, after being diagnosed with leukemia in 1997.

“Congratulations to Jimmie Johnson and the entire No.48 Hendrick Motorsports team for Sunday’s victory in Texas,” said Tony Pauly, director of advertising and brand management for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket North America. “It was great to see the six-time champ back in victory lane.”

Bosch Aftermarket has a long-standing partnership with NASCAR, providing oxygen sensors to all NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams. Additionally, Bosch has provided quality parts — including spark plugs, injectors, alternators, coils, filters, fuel pumps, starters and pressure regulators — to multiple NASCAR teams for more than a decade, helping them to numerous wins and seven Sprint Cup Series championships since 2001.
