Illinois pro bass angler Chad Morgenthaler recently signed on with previous NASCAR sponsor Jasper Engines and Transmissions to represent the company’s 2006 Fishing Team. Feb. 24–26, Morgenthaler will compete in the “Super Bowl of Bass Fishing” – the 2006 Bassmaster Classic.
The Classic, held this year at Lake Toho near Kissimmee FL, pays out $500,000 for first place, a piece of the $1.2 million total pay out to the 51-competitor field. The event receives a full weekend of coverage on ESPN and ESPN2.
