Ideal Clamp Products, Inc., the designer and manufacturer of IDEAL-TRIDON brand worm gear, hose and specialty clamps, is celebrating its 100th year in operation while also recognizing the 90th anniversary of Tridon, the company it merged with a decade ago. Ideal recently announced the launch of the IDEAL-TRIDON brand as a result of consolidating product lines between the IDEAL brand and TRIDON brands — long time leaders in the joint sealing industry.
“The wealth of expertise at Ideal is absolutely astounding,” said Michael Reese, president and CEO. “Ideal has spent a century creating quality clamping products while Tridon has been at it for 90 years. Together, we comprise the market’s most dynamic and forward-thinking clamp company, offering the widest breadth of products worldwide.”
Ideal was founded in 1913 by Philip Rauch, a taxi cab owner/operator with a background in automotive engineering. Tridon began in 1923 by Don Green, a young man trying to prove he could make it on his own. Throughout the last century, literally billions of clamps have been made by the companies started by these two visionaries. The company will host a celebration event for its employees and plans an anniversary promotion for later in the year.
