Hastings Manufacturing Co. has introduced a new brand of performance piston rings called Hastings Racing Rings. The rings are designed for engine modifications typically performed for weekend racing enthusiasts. They are offered through machine shops located across the U.S. and are displayed in colorful new packaging, with a "race look" featuring Hastings’ "Tough Guy" caricature.

Hastings Racing Rings offer higher performance, or more horsepower, in extreme engine applications, according to the company. They utilize advances in engineering, materials and coatings — resulting in precise oil control, reduced friction, more efficient combustion and lighter weight. Typical applications include domestic and foreign engine rebuilds used in circle track, drag racing, performance boats and racing motorcycles.

Each Hastings Racing Rings set includes Hastings’ famous Flex-Vent Oil Control Ring and 1st and 2nd compression rings offerings in iron, high-tensile ductile iron and steel. Coating options are available in Plasma-Moly, Flash and Triple Chrome, Magnesium Phosphate and Nitride.
