Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.’s fleet of blimps will carry messaging devoted to “It Can Wait,” a national campaign encouraging people to not text and drive, on Sept. 19. The messaging will coincide with the campaign’s "Drive 4 Pledges Day."

“Goodyear is joining the pledge campaign to increase attention around the significant risks associated with texting while driving,” said Paul Fitzhenry, Goodyear’s senior vice president, global communications. “‘It Can Wait’ conveys a simple but powerful message and aligns with Goodyear’s priority to promote safety on our roads through programs that increase safety awareness and encourage safe behaviors.”

Goodyear Blimps have been carrying “It Can Wait” messaging over major sporting events since the beginning of May.

The “It Can Wait” campaign has inspired more than 2.5 million pledges since it started in August 2012. For more information, or to take the pledge, visit www.itcanwait.com.
