Gas Station To Pay For Water In Gas Repairs

March 18, 2011

JACKSON, Miss. — A Jackson gas station has agreed to pay for repairs to cars that stalled out last week because of water in the gas.

Nearly a dozen cars stalled out March 10 after drivers bought gas at the Exxon gas station on Northside Drive, the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce said. The cars were towed to local repair shops.

Exxon has already paid cash to one driver to get the car fixed.

“I don’t think the station had any warning that that had happened, but like I said, since they took care of it I’m impressed,” said repair shop owner Steve Gilmore.
