Federated Awards New Truck to Lucky Customer

Federated customer Dean Martin of Lula, GA, was awarded a new 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 truck at the 14th annual Federated 300 Nationwide Series race held June 6 in Nashville, TN.

Federated customer Dean Martin of Lula, GA, was awarded a new 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 truck at the 14th annual Federated 300 Nationwide Series race held June 6 in Nashville, TN.

Each year Federated awards a new truck to one of their 1,200 hospitality guests during the pre-race festivities. Twelve guests were selected through a random drawing and each chose a numbered keychain, trying their luck to start the engine. Federated spokesman and Sprint Car Cup star Ken Schrader was on hand to announce which lucky customer would drive home a winner.

Federated’s hospitality guests included quality service providers and technicians from more than 20 states who attended autograph sessions with drivers, received all-access passes to visit the pit and garage areas, and enjoyed a post-race country music concert.

“Next to the race itself, one of the most exciting parts of the annual Federated 300 is one of our valued customers winning a new truck,” said J.R. Bishop, director of motorsports and event marketing for Federated Auto Parts. “We are thrilled that Dean won the brand new Chevy Silverado. He will definitely be noticed when he drives the streets of Georgia.”
