Greg Potter, Dearborn Group Technology, has been awarded ETI’s 16th Founder’s Award at this year’s ToolTech 2010 in Napa Valley, CA. The ETI Founder’s Award was established to honor those individuals who have made numerous contributions to the Institute.
As with most trade associations, ETI thrives on volunteerism from its members as well as its business partners. Potter has demonstrated unselfish dedication to the principles that drive ETI since he began his involvement with ETI over 16 years ago.
Potter is currently on ETI’s Board of Directors and Chairs ETI’s Scan Tool Vertical Group. He also served as president of ETI’s Board of Directors from 2004 to 2006 and ETI’s Technical Director from 1997 to 1999. Potter has been active with the ETI Board since 1996 and has attended 16 Summer Tech Weeks, 15 Winter Tech Weeks and 16 Annual Meetings/Tool Techs. He epitomizes the intent of ETI’s Founders Award.
Potter graduated cum laude from Lawrence Technological University with a Bachelor’s in Science in Electrical Engineering, and a Master in Business Administration. He is currently on the I-CAR International Board of Directors and is an active member on several standards committees with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). He has served more than 27 years in the automotive service industry.
