Epicor Integrated Service Estimator Solution Generating More Than 350,000 Automotive Service Estimates Per Month

Epicor Software Corporation recently announced that the Epicor Integrated Service Estimator (ISE) solution for automotive service businesses is now generating more than 350,000 completed job estimates per month, reflecting a nearly 150-percent increase since 2012.

Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, recently announced that the Epicor Integrated Service Estimator (ISE) solution for automotive service businesses is now generating more than 350,000 completed job estimates per month, reflecting a nearly 150-percent increase since 2012. Epicor ISE is a Web-based mechanical services estimating system that helps tire, transmission, oil-and-lube and other automotive service specialists increase their share of the general repair and preventive maintenance categories.

“This aggressive growth can be directly attributed to the success users are having in identifying and closing profitable new service opportunities,” said Scott Thompson, vice president, automotive eCommerce for Epicor. “ISE is designed to help businesses drive revenue, efficiency and customer satisfaction at the service counter, and it’s doing exactly that.”

According to Thompson, in response to the rapidly growing use of the solution, Epicor is now serving ISE users through a sophisticated new data center that offers significantly increased capacity and performance.

Currently available through nearly 20 leading automotive point of sale (POS) solution providers, Epicor ISE software helps users increase sales of mechanical and scheduled maintenance services by reducing the time needed to generate accurate, professional estimates. The solution provides immediate access to the parts and labor information to complete virtually any automotive repair and allows users to electronically monitor availability and pricing through the industry leading Epicor seller network of more than 23,000 distributor locations. All parts, labor and supplier pricing information can be automatically imported into the users’ POS-generated estimates, work orders and invoices without the need to rekey information.

Epicor ISE solution provides “one-click” access to the industry-leading Epicor ePartExpert database of more than 8 million parts, 7,500 manufacturer product lines and 22 million interchanges. Users can also access a comprehensive aftermarket flat-rate labor guide, repair jobs database, and VIN decoder.  Hundreds of pre-bundled service packages enable users to complete estimates in as little as one minute in many cases. The solution also includes a database of OE-recommended service intervals to help users identify and estimate a broad range of additional jobs.

“Without the ISE solution, many tire dealers, lube shop operators and other service specialists are forced to manually research, estimate and source mechanical parts and supplies, a process that can require multiple phone calls and 15 to 20 minutes per opportunity,” Thompson said. “Our solution automates the entire process to make the service writer more productive, eliminate errors and improve the customer experience.”
