DynoMax performance exhaust – the performance exhaust brand of Tenneco – has announced the sponsorship of an Ultra4 racing team with eight highly acclaimed rock and desert racers, including every King of the Hammers champion to date.

Making its debut at the 2013 King of the Hammers race, the team members include: 2012 King of the Hammers champion Erik Miller; 2011 and 2008 King of the Hammers champion Shannon Campbell; Shannon’s brother and son, Nick and Wayland Campbell; 2010 King of the Hammers champion Loren Healey; 2009 King of the Hammers champion Jason Scherer; and upcoming Ultra4 racing contenders, Ben Napier and Tony Pellegrino.

As “The Official Performance Exhaust of the King of the Hammers,” DynoMax performance exhaust has powered every King of the Hammers champion across the finish line, including Shannon Campbell, a popular two-time King of the Hammers winner and spokesman for DynoMax, who won both victories in the Ultra4 series under the DynoMax sponsorship. He also drives under the DynoMax banner in the Best in the Desert Off-Road Racing Series.

“The Ultra4 racing series not only gives us insight into exhaust product innovations but it gives us an opportunity to be a part of such an exciting racing community,” said Chris Gauss, national sales manager, performance products, Tenneco. “This team of talented, hard-working racers will test a variety of DynoMax exhaust products through tough terrain and challenging conditions to demonstrate why DynoMax is such a popular choice among off-road enthusiasts.”

King of the Hammers is one of the toughest, one-day off-road races in the world. This unique racing format combines high-speed desert racing, requiring top-quality vehicle components, and slower, highly technical rock crawling, requiring a high degree of skill. The King of the Hammers is held in February each year in Johnson Valley, Calif. For more information about the Ultra4 racing series or the King of the Hammers event, visit www.ultra4racing.com.
