Dorman Products has announced its new product introductions and line extensions that were introduced at the 2005 AAPEX show in Las Vegas. The new product categories and extended coverage provide distributors with more revenue opportunities and the opportunity to allow service dealers to source these products from their preferred supplier – their aftermarket distributor. In all, the company will introduce more than 2,000 new parts to the aftermarket in 2006.

The Dorman OE Solutions brand includes application-specific new-to-the-aftermarket hard parts that create new profit opportunities. The company has added the following new categories to the OE Solutions brand:
– Air door actuators;

– Door and hood latches;
– Electric fan clutch;
– Fan pulley brackets;
– Fuel tanks;
– Side view mirror assemblies;
– Smog pump pulleys;

100% new gold anodized master cylinders have been added to Dorman’s First Stop brand of brake products. This new master cylinder’s exceptional quality and aggressive pricing make it a natural replacement for the remanufactured alternative. First Stop also features a complete line of technician-quality brake and clutch hydraulics, hardware and cables comprised of more than 8,500 SKUs making it a single source of supply.

In addition to OE Solutions and First Stop, Dorman’s new brand categories include:
– Dorman HELP! – A complete line of retail merchandised parts that provide innovative repair solutions and a better alternative than the OE dealer.
– Dorman AutoGrade – A comprehensive line of application-specific and general automotive hardware that is a necessary element to complete a repair.
– Dorman Conduct-Tite – Efficient category management and merchandising takes the mystery out of sourcing, selling and installing electrical connectors, wires, tools and switches.

– Dorman TECHoice – Will include product categories that provide unique value opportunities to both service dealers and distributors. This allows you to consolidate vendors for value-line coverage on selected product categories.

In addition, Dorman continues to add aftermarket opportunities by providing updated coverage for the most failure-prone applications. New 2006 coverage has been added in virtually every product category including:

– A/C bypass pulleys;
– Air intake hoses;
– NEW brake caliper assemblies;
– Clock springs;
– Exhaust manifolds;
– Flex pipes;
– Fluid lines;
– Fluid reservoirs;
– New 4-wheel drive motors;

– 100+ New HELP! SKU’s.

Many parts are “Dorman-Engineered” to improve upon OE design flaws, allowing service dealers to install products equal to or better than OE. It also includes many 100 percent new parts that were previously only available as remanufactured.
